Our business is your business.  We are a company started by healthcare professionals for healthcare professionals.  

James A. Shook, R.N., B.S.N., ESQ. founded Medical Legal Consultants during his third year of Law School.  Routinely, he saw physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and paramedics swimming in the sea of uncertainty that is the medical-legal reality of today's healthcare environment.  

During Law School, he became acutely aware of the legal jeopardy, in which, the medical field places itself on a daily basis.  He understood it wasn't bad people doing bad things.  Generally, it was good people, ignorant of the laws governing them.  He decided to change that.

His goal was to create a company that would empower healthcare providers by giving them the tools they need to work in today's highly litigious medical field.

Even as Mr. Shook transitioned to an Attorney and founded Shook Law Firm, Medical Legal Consultants continues to fulfill the envisioned role by offering medical-legal seminars in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri.
